I dont think there are words to say how thankful I am for the nurses at Amedisys. My brother received the best care. Every nurse that came to see him (Seth, Jason, Crystal, Heidi, and Tina. Sorry if I missed anyone. These are the ones I had interactions with.) They all made his final months and days manageable and showed compassion beyond measure. Seth, I've had the most interactions with and every visit that I was not there he would text me at the conclusion of the visit how my brother was and so on. They all answered every text, gave me advice, and kept me well informed of his health and the gravity of the situation as it changed. From his social worker, bathing team, and nurses, Eddie was truly blessed when he chose Amedisys for his hospice care. You are all amazing people and I thank God that he blessed my brother with the staff at Amedisys. God bless each and everyone of you special people.
I, literally, do not have One negative word to say about Amedisys Home Health (hospice care) in Decatur, AL. My grandmother was put on something called “long term hospice” about a year ago - from the day we left Decatur Morgan (we only left because we needed more care and more help) Every single person at Amedisys was so loving, so kind and just… God Sent. I wish there was a way I could answer your questions For You - if you are reading this review… Because, I KNOW the decision that you are in the midst of making is one of The hardest, scariest, worst feeling decisions that you may ever have to make. But, please - rest in the fact that you’ve been pointed in the direction of Amedisys. You will not ever regret it. Brigetta, Vicky and Seth were the most caring nurses. Nikki, who came to help our grandmother with showers, Austin the chaplain, Laura the social worker and last, but in No way least, Jason, the on call nurse (who came the night our dear grandmother passed) Every one of them put in Many hours - not only caring for our grandmother but, also listening to us, reassuring us, helping us with every tiny detail to help keep her healthy, happy and comfortable.. Then, when God did call her home, each one of them reached out, came to the funeral if they weren’t working and visited us. I can’t help but get emotional when I talk about these beautiful people. I feel So Blessed that we were introduced to Amedisys. And so very thankful that we had each of the people who work there, in our lives during such a difficult time.. Please, if your loved one needs help or, You need some assistance caring for your loved one, don’t hesitate to call someone from here, today. You will be so grateful. There truly is no downside. ( I will never forget how God used this place in my family’s life. I know He will do the same for you! God Bless you. )
My mother went into hospice care 3 wks ago. The group of people that I spoke to and helped mom during the the time she was under hospice care was absolutely great. I would like to recognize these people. Kacey for reaching out and helping get everything set up quickly and efficiently. Laura for coming out and talking to mom. She always answered her phone when I called. The nurses Seth,Heidi and Vick you guys are awesome. Karen for helping mom with bathing and changing clothes even when she was a handful. This Hospice care is top notch. Thank you
