Nurses were supposed to show up 3 times per week but often would only show up once a week or not at all. They would call and say they were sending someone out and then never show up or call. I got conflicting information from the director, social worker and nurse. It is very likely you will never see the same person twice. This is a for-profit company that is publicly traded, so their loyalty lies with their financial bottom line and not their patients. I just transferred my parent to a nonprofit hospice and the difference is night and day.

Our family had Randi and Angela for my mom until she passed on Feb 16, 2023. We loved both of them. They were always professional and personal. Even when my mom came to SC on a visit Amedysis made sure that service was set up for my mom while she was here. I would recommend these ladies and this agency. My family is forever grateful.

Amedisys Hospice Care is the very BEST. I used them with my mother in law. They are so loving & caring. My mother in law was always very selective who she allowed in her home much less care for her. She thought that I was the only one that could do for her. But she gained her trust with Randi West & Angela Payne the very first day. We loved Colleen as well. She was amazing. My mother in law passed August 3, 2022. I will always recommend Amedisys Hospice. I will never forget the care they gave my mother in law. Thank y’all so much! The family of Nellie Roberts

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
