Enhabit Hospice - Greenville

This hospice agency was absolutely wonderful caring for my friend. She was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and only lived a few weeks. The staff went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable, cared for and that her transition was peaceful. Their support for the patient and the family was extraordinary. I was very impressed with everyone. Cynthia was the RN, her knowledge and compassion were beyond measure. As a retired RN, she was one of the best I have ever seen. I would recommend this agency to anyone needing hospice care.

A few days ago Cathy Cates posted a review of Encompass Health-Hospice in Greenville. Her review was based on the first rate care and compassion given to her friend who recently passed away from pancreatic cancer. That friend was my wife of 39 years. The disease was swift, brutal and diagnosed with the realistic explanation that medical options were limited to hopefully extending life somewhat and improving the quality of life...but there would be no cure. We tried, the Doctors at U.A.B. tried but then came the time when we knew the treatments weren't going to help. We called Encompass Hospice in Greenville and had a meeting with Cynthia Allen, who became my wife's compassionate, highly skilled and knowledgeable nurse. She was here every single day.... even more toward the end and meant it when she said call if needed, anytime, 2:00 in the morning, anytime. All of the staff, and I want to mention Martha, who bathed and cared for her, and Shelby, the social worker who's words came straight from the heart, were so very helpful. Call them if you find yourself in need, they'll be there for you. They care.

I can write a book about this company. My mother is on hospice and this is very new to our family, but Encompass is GOD sent!!! They are so amazing, very caring very informational and Gentle. I was a little worried at first because my baby ( my mother) is everything to this family and I want her safe at all times. Encompass staff take care and handle her like she’s there mother and I can’t thank this enough. There are heroes!!! If I had to choose again I would Definitely choose them a million and one times 😘
