What Families Are Saying
Most Recent Reviews
Ms. Julie Aldridge conducted my 6 months evaluation. She was very thorough and knowledgeable. More importantly, she was able to answer a question no one previously was able/willing to answer. She offered great insight into a process that is important to me. "Dying with grace and dignity is crucial for your granddaughters to see". I will never forget those words.
I'd like to thank 2 of the nurses who saw my mom during her brief In-Home Hospice stint. They were exceptional. I chose to trust Enhabit based off an insurance referral. Despite a few miscommunication hiccups, I still was trying to go along with the process. Should've followed my gut, because that was a huge mistake. Incompetent, negligent and zero accountability even when presented with facts. 1) We moved May 4th and I called the main # to update the address before my furniture was even moved AND advised no visits that week. The nurse came to the new address just as the movers started unloading and over a month later they still had the old address on file. 2) The very beginning of June, we finally decided to try Respite. The Fri prior, the social worker was waiting a pickup time, was off the entire wknd and text the following Monday an hour before pick up. Transport was almost an hour late having went to the wrong address still on file. I spoke w/the social worker once later that day when she got there after mom had gotten checked in. The remainder of the day was numerous text msgs/phone calls mostly about meds & stuff that should've already been in her chart and/or on the note sent w/mom's belongings . 3) I drive almost 45 mins to pick her up the following Sat as instructed even before she left to find she had a roommate (social worker said it would always be a private room). Then the facilities mgr informs that transport had arrived to take her home. Get her home and as I'm reading the discharge paperwork, I see 'Type 2 Diabetes" Mom never had/has that diagnosis. She was fed an improper diet based on medical info I now know was received from Enhabit. Her meds were even administered inaccurately. The facility was at fault for alot, and reached out early the following Monday am to address all of it, but 3 days post respite, a mgr/spvsr finally reached out (to this day, still haven't heard a word from the social worker) to address the issues during mom's respite stay. She didn't know the social worker was off prior to the stay, had just seen the inaccurate Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis, and absolutely didn't try to own any part of how badly they dropped the ball on this. Oh, and is still asking about mom seeing the nurse by that Thurs otherwise she would be discharged. One breath she's telling me to think about how/if I want to move forward yet the same breath it's all about meeting a date or otherwise be discharged.... Wow!! 4) 2 wks post respite, mom had 2 back to back ER visits. In a panic and still awaiting some form of explanation, I reach out to that same mgr for guidance and again she's trying to send a nurse out. I take mom to the ER and it's a fixable issue caught early, prescribed some antibiotics and sent home. While waiting to be discharged, the same mgr/spvsr accidentally butt dials me & hangs up (I know she heard me repeatedly saying 'hello'), but I text her an update when we get home. She texts the next day almost noon glad mom's okay and again asking about the nurse coming out. Seriously?? This is a long review (left a lot out due to length restrictions), but I just need the public to be aware of these types of incidents/places. I can be extremely understanding of mistakes and how stretched health care providers are as a whole, but when you own nothing and are more concerned with discharging a client rather than fully investigating what happened, it's frightening thinking we can potentially entrust anybody/anywhere with caring for our loved ones.
