What Families Are Saying
Most Recent Reviews
Gentiva took amazing care of both of my grandmothers. They were compassionate, caring, and treated us all like we were their family. They went above and beyond to make sure both of my grandmothers left this world with dignity and at peace. Gentiva was only a phone call away whenever we needed anything or had any concerns. When the time came for my grandmothers to leave their earthly home, Gentiva was there and helped us get through it all. And they are still here even after my grandmothers have passed. I would highly recommend Gentiva Hospice for anyone needing Hospice.
My beloved husband passed this year. Gentiva Hospice was the service recommended by our primary care physician so it's the one we used. My husband passed quickly, he was only in hospice for 9 days. But during this time, Gentiva personnel impressed me with their caring and support. The first nurse was Steven and my hubby LOVED him! He was caring and relatable, just right for my retired military hubby. The next nurse I'm sorry to say, we knocked her out of service lol. She is allergic to cats and thought she could handle it with medicine but didn't count on us fostering for the local shelter. Fourteen cats later, her eyes were as swollen as two balloons. Sorry sweetie! The weekend nurse was the one attending the day my sweetheart passed. She was a great comfort to both of us. Savannah and Jeff gave me a lot of support after Jim passed. Jim was a disabled vet with presumptive conditions due to Agent Orange exposure. Jeff and Savannah worked with me until we got the paperwork in the form that was acceptable to the VA. Overall, I can't imagine a more caring service. Thank you to all at Gentiva.
Not prompt at all when we need something for my mother. Waited 5 hours for a suction machine that was ordered "stat" when my mother was choking because she cannot swallow! Was told multiple times that her medication has been called in when it has not. This service is ment to ease the pain and suffering for the patient and family during the end stages of life and that is not what we have received.

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
