Springhill Home Health and Hospice - Mobile

Don't recommend this hospice. They never ordered my mom's meds. They never ordered her shower handle nor the raised toilet stand. They never ordered PT. The nurse aide came only once to give my mom a bath and I had to do it as she was just standing by the door watching. The nurse didn't know how to remove the surgery drain. They never called in the evening to see if everything was ok, like they were supposed to. They never let us know they would come until a few minutes prior, and would never honor the best time for my mom. Just terrible.

My brother was under the “care” of this hospice for about 24 hours before dropping them. The nurse who was on call during the weekend refused to come check on my brother at home and actually purposely disconnected a phone call with my sister in law. The nurse was rude and totally unprofessional. I would never recommend this hospice for your loved one.

We recently used Springhill Hospice, and from the hospital when we met with Angela Alvis to discuss the possibility of their services to coming home on hospice, our experience was one of compassion, availability and there for questions and concerns throughout the process. The nurse on our case was Susan Morrow and she showed knowledge, care, and compassion with every visit, text or phone call. She even went out of her way to be of service to our loved one upon his passing and I can’t say how appreciative we were for her dedication. Also, Keri Zehner, the aide assigned to our case, not only did the job well but also showed tender care and compassion along with being very knowledgeable regarding hospice patient care. It was a real comfort to know we were in their hands. I would definitely recommend them!
