About LifeTouch Health - Batesville

LifeTouch Health - Batesville is the Batesville office families turn to when hospice care needs to happen at home. A nurse, an aide, and a social worker visit the house. They help with comfort, medicines, and the practical questions that come up in a hard week. Care from this office is for families in Independence County. It is a community nonprofit. This hospice program has served families since 2008. The office also offers palliative care for someone who is still treating the illness and is not yet on hospice. A children's hospice program is part of this organization's care, including for families who use this office. A family in Batesville can ask the office how care starts and what the team will do in the home.

This is a Wonderful company! They take care of all my needs (and wants). Love my nurses and delivery driver. They go above and beyond the call of duty. So grateful we found them.

They LIED to us and my husband passed away with the lies, believing it would be ok. Do not get close to their workers. We were told an exception would be made for a worker to come to the funeral and later found out she wasn't allowed to because of their policy of no contact for 13 months after the client passes. One of their nurses told us my husband was " done! Gone! " So the family decided to make the trip at the time of the funeral instead so in turn, due to her choice of words, my kids and grandkids never got to say goodbye to an important part of their lives. To your face they are nice people but once they turn their back to you, they are not the same person at all. It's unfortunate that a family going through loss also has to deal with the drama of the care givers and hospice at the same time I would not recommend this company to anybody.

My mother was in the care of Arkansas Hospice, and I am so extremely disappointed, and quite frankly disgusted with them. She got very sick with pneumonia and a uti, treatable infections. After assessing the immediate situation and condition she was in, I spoke to the hospice nurse with great concern for her condition. After questioning whether or not she could be readmitted to hospice if we sent her to the hospital, we were told she could and made the decision to send her. She was admitted. We were told to keep them informed on her progress. I called Arkansas Hospice and told them that I thought she would be discharged soon and asked what I needed to do. I was told to call back when she was actually discharged and she would be readmitted. The next day, I got a call from the hospital stating that Arkansas Hospice was not going to take her back, but the hospital was unsure about why. Upon calling Arkansas Hospice, I was told that my mom was not being readmitted because of her previous hospital stays that she had BEFORE she went into hospice care and that the doctor was "fully aware of who she is" like she's a criminal for going to the hospital in the past. This is all beside the fact that they did not even have the decency to call and tell us that she was not going to be readmitted. I'm sorry we ever chose this company, and am now glad that we are parting ways. If this is how they operate, I do not want them caring for my mother. This is a hard enough thing to go through without having to deal with something like this. Utterly ridiculous and completely uncalled for.
