Medcare Hospice

Hospice is a word most of us fear, but the remarkable caregivers at MedCare showed us what hospice is meant to be; comfort, dignity, humanity and love. Nurse Katherine Hernandez, Dr Ernesto González, and our overnight nurse Yadimir showed our mother a level of care, kindness and respect as if they were caring for a member of their own family. Nurse Katherine Hernandez always took the time to explain everything in a language we could understand with such empathy. She was truly a blessing sent to our family, she was gentle and attentive, and genuinely kind, always treating our mother with such tenderness and respect. The comfort she and the rest of the team provided, is a gift our entire family will never forget.

From the very beginning, Nurse Catherine Hernandez treated my mother, Maria, with genuine compassion, kindness, and respect. She made frequent visits to check on her, ensuring she was comfortable and receiving the best possible care. Knowing she truly cared about my mother meant so much to our family. The CNA team was equally outstanding. They provided excellent daily hospice care, always making sure my mother was eating, staying hydrated, and comfortable. What touched my heart the most was seeing my mother begin eating on her own again—something she hadn’t done in years. It was an incredible moment for our family and a testament to the patience, encouragement, and compassionate care they provided. Everyone at MCare treated my mother with dignity and love, and we will always be grateful for the support they gave her and our family during such an important time.
