Caris Healthcare

In my experience with Hospice I have had help with my Grandfather and Mother and they have been very caring and loving. Recently they were able to get my Dad a haircut and trim his nails easier than the nursing home because he has dementia and fights people unfortunately. I appreciate Caris Hospice keeping me aware of my Dad’s well being because I work and my Mom died and isn’t here to check up on him anymore.

Caris has some wonderful nurses and CNA’s. However, the office is what runs the show and it is the worst. The office manager is useless as can be. She NEVER follows though on ANYTHING and her boss don’t do nothing bout it as he doesn’t have medical experience so he needs her for that purpose only. Mom has endured neglect from her for prescriptions that we have had to continue to call her over and veg to get and no these prescriptions are not narcotics, they are basic meds needed for comfort and to remain stable. I have tried so many times to get things corrected to no avail.

Caris has a caring and informative staff. They have helped me in my most desperate time of need with compassion and support. I cannot speak highly enough of the care, staff, genuine concern for my well being. Both me and my daughter are very impressed with how they run their unit. Dr. Wilson listens attentively and makes sure I understand the process of being a hospice patient. He is one of the most professional and compassionate doctors I've ever had the opportunity to be able to see. I tried others listed on the Internet for my area and none of them would answer the phone. Caris answered after just a few rings and was pleasant and helpful in explaining to me what the process is to be admitted. After the call, I did what was asked of me and my team was at my home the next day making introductions and taking note of everything including anything OTC I was taking. Once the paperwork was done, my medications were called in and it was a seamless process with great staff to help if I had any questions. If you have a loved one in your life, or if you need good care for preparing for the next phase please consider Caris. You will not be disappointed! I feel fournate to have this type of team for my care in my final phase.
