The docs didn't think my dad would make the trip from oshner but my dad was always the one to prove people wrong. The hospital didn't bathe him properly but Calcutta made him look like his old self. They gave him his dignity back to where he felt comfortable enough to leave us. They stepped out the room for my mom and I to spend his last breath with him. It was the hardest moment of our life but at least he looked serene and at great eternal peace. I think he knew he felt safe and in good hands with the hospice nurses who were compassionate to us as he passed. Mom and I knew we chose the right place where he was taken care of for his last hour of life. Thank you Hospice of Acadiana Calcutta for taking care of us.

My son was sent to the Calcutta House. The doctors and nurses were so loving and kind not only to my son but to all of my family members. I will be forever grateful! ❤️

I can’t say enough about the wonderful care my mother received at Calcutta House. Everyone on the staff, day nurses, night nurses, doctors, assistants, janitorial etc… went above and beyond to make my mother’s last days peaceful and tranquil. They were so sweet to her and to us. If you find yourself in the position of needing hospice services, ask for your loved one to be admitted to Calcutta House. Hospice of Acadiana does an amazing job. We are eternally grateful!
