Hospice of Natchitoches was there for my family at one of its lowest points. My dad, John Price, passed away March 6, 2015. Had it not been for Glenda, Dominick, Rachal, Keista and the rest of the staff of HON, we would have had to go against my mother and father's wishes to die at home surrounded by loving family instead of machines at a cold hospital. They trained us, counseled us, and comforted us, but they were very straightforward about what to expect and did not talk down to us. We can never thank them enough.

My experience has not been great, you can never get them on the phone then when they finally answer and you leave a message they don't call back. Very unacceptable.

Other important resources for families

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
