We have had Gentiva since January. Everyone we have worked with has been extremely supportive and helpful with my husband’s care. We liked Adam (RN) and Wayne (CNA). I would especially like to thank Erin (RN). She has such a helpful and kind spirit. She is also very knowledgeable in her field of work. Anna (Social worker) was so sweet as well. She worked well with her team. Thank you to everyone who played a part in care for my husband.

During one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced, Gentiva Hospice provided such grace, compassion, and professionalism. The entire team—from the nurses and CNAs to the social worker and chaplain—were incredibly attentive and kind. They not only managed my loved one's symptoms beautifully but also provided invaluable emotional support to our family, answering our questions with patience and empathy. We are forever grateful for their care.

My 1st experience with Gentiva, I got a call from William. He let me know he was at UNM, asked if he could visit my mom. Talk to her and get her ready for transport, to SNF. After his visit, he let me know how it went. He also, let me know what was going to happen when mom went through processing. Who would be calling me from gentiva, number to look for. And name and who, would be calling, He gave me all the info, I would need. His card, his number, and number to 24 hotline. Andrea (nurse w/Gentiva) was there for mom through processing. And she walked mom and me through everything. Carolyn, who was there from day one. Helping me w/room & board. To coordinating one of they're staff (Aileen), to meet w/me at the SNF. After moms passing to pick up her stuff. Also setting up w/Mortuary, to help pay for half of the cost for the services. Kristen, moms nurse. She was there taking the best care of mom. Letting me know of everything that's going on, being there to re-assure me. When I was not so sure, also always getting back to me right away. And letting me know, I was doing really good. And then after her passing, assuring me of the same thing. 24 hr hotline, they were excellent. Again being there, when I wanted someone to check on mom. Or when I wanted to make sure mom was eating and drinking. Letting me know about everything, available to me for mom. Cassaundra, was the best. Being there for mom, when I couldn't, and being the one who informed me of moms passing. I really did appreciate everything she did for mom. There was a nice gentleman, who was a shower aid for Gentiva, he did introduce himself. I do not remember his name, I only met him once. He said he comes by on Thursdays, to give mom a shower. If she wants one or a spung bath, and sometimes he just rubs lotion on her skin. He would also talk with her, and sometimes when mom was having trouble he would feed her. And I want to thank him, just for being a remarkable person. Gentiva was an excellent choice for Hospice, and I would recommend them to anyone. In my opinion they are the best. And I was so thankful they were there for me and my mom.
