Elara Caring Hospice - Akron

I can’t express how much all the hospice staff did for my grandmother in the last year of her life. There was complex family dynamics, mental health issues, financial concerns all on top of pain management, medical problems and daily living. They took care of her when we could not and were all exceptionally kind and professional. I can’t recommend or thank them enough.

I'd like to write this review from two stand points: 1.As a provider. I was a memory care director, that intentionally used Elara as my primary service. They ensured that my Residents were all taken care of, and treated with the utmost respect and dignity. 2. As a family member... I was blessed to have a preexisting relationship with a lot of the Elara team, but a few specifically I'd like to acknowledge (Mary Quinn, Susie, Jayne, Aryn, Mykayla and Lynette). When I took in my great grandmother, I STRUGGLED with her care. I thought because I was a caregiver, I could handle things on my own. I tried VARIOUS hospice teams, but was let down by many. Even going as far as some ghosting me in terms of enrollment for my grandma. Mary Quinn, and Mckayla helped enroll her, and I was SO blessed to have Lynette, Aryn, and Susie there to help with her care. Recently my grandmother started a fire in my home. It was one of the most traumatizing events that's ever happened in my personal life. Without getting into details, I have so much on my plate at the moment, that I could not BELIEVE how quick the team jumped into action. From getting her respite, to helping admit her to LTC, to helping trying to get a contract with my current facility so I could bring her with me, to trying to save my relationship with my grandma... they've in AMAZING in every way. Thank you ladies for all you've done. I am SO blessed to have you in my life!

Elara assisted my dad with OT, PT and speech. Everyone was amazing! They were very friendly, compassionate and they did great work. Ashley (OT) Jim and Lisa (PT) and Paige (speech) were all incredible and we are all very thankful for the high quality of care they each gave my dad.
