I felt very unsupported, chaotic care for my husband. They “suspected” pneumonia, but never did X-rays. I personally think he had sepsis. At one point he was in pain 2 days before a nurse came and it was the NEXT evening before he got pain meds! So three days total! On the first day that his nurse texted me to tell me she might not be there that day, I told her that he was in pain. I was asked if I was going to take him to the ER from a text from his nurse! Hmmm, NO! He’s on hospice! All this in less than a month! The list could go on and on. I asked the administration office to give me a call to go over all the issues I had after deciding to transfer him to another agency. I still have not received a call. This is the reason I decided to move forward with a review. I do not want other families having to go through what we’ve been through.. thinking they have a supportive agency only to feel like it’s about getting number! I found a great agency that feels like family!!

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section.
