What Families Are Saying
Most Recent Reviews
Our mother was post-chemo treatment for nonHodgkin’s lymphoma, suffering from congestive heart failure, and CKD. She lived alone at age 87 years with the oldest daughter about 3 minutes away, and other children living about 20 minutes to one hour away. Gentiva made it possible to keep her in her own home with quality care, especially in the latter weeks of her life. Volunteers, like Maria, were so faithful in visiting her. Nurses, such as Virginia and Lauren, kept our anxiety at bay as they adjusted the depth of palliative care as the need increased. CNAs such as Brenda were good to complete their tasks while granting our mother respect and dignity. Chaplain Randy was always welcomed by our mother as they spoke about faith and sang hymns and had prayer together. Even the on/call nurse who came to record her death was kind, helpful, and showed deep compassion in how she handled our mother’s body and how she guided us on what needed to be done. We are grateful for all the staff at Gentiva in Huntsville. It made a difference for our mother and for her children/spouses, grandchildren/spouses, and great grandchildren. Thank you so much.
What a wonderful team that Kindred has in Huntsville AL. My Dad was on hospice care for a year and everyone that came to the house was great to work with. They were all patient with my Dad and kind in many ways not just to him but our family. Thank you for being there during a difficult time.

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
