About Gentiva - Hot Springs

Gentiva - Hot Springs is the Hot Springs office families turn to when hospice care needs to happen at home. A nurse, an aide, and a social worker visit the house. They help with comfort, medicines, and the practical questions that come up in a hard week. Care from this office is for families in Clark, Garland, Hot Spring, Montgomery, Polk, and Saline counties. This hospice program has served families since 1993. A family in Hot Springs can ask the office how care starts and what the team will do in the home. The Hot Springs team comes to the home rather than asking the family to manage the hard days alone.

Nursing care and nursing assistant care is A plus. They only provide 40 diapers a week which is less than 6 a day. They recently quit providing disposable underpads and brought me 2 washable ones. I already had washable ones. They are mostly helpful except for this. It adds to my workload so I'll be buying my own. Jennifer, Shirley, and TRISTA are awesomel. I'd like to add. My only problem is diapers diapers diapers. I buy some diapers even after being told they provide 2 20 packs per week. Was told today I'm responsible for her diapers if they don't come. It's a shipping problem. It's been a problem for all these months. I let know before the weekend and they were good to bring a package but in a smaller size because that's what they have at the office. But today I'm told it's a shipping problem and I'm responsible. I've not once asked for more than what they provide which is about 6 to 7 a day. Though a bed patient needs more. Which I have been providing. I was an LPN for 35+ years . Rounds every 2 hours which is 10 to 12 a day if they are hydrated. Anyway, it's Fri again, her package isn't at the office which means if it's not in today, I won't have it all weekend. This may seem a small thing, it's just really frustrating to be made to feel as if the problem is mine when all we want is what they proffess to provide. Still love my nurses and Trista.

I have the utmost respect for people who choose to be in this profession and are good at it. My mom landed under Gentiva's Hospice care recently and it brought Ms. Treinice, her assigned nurse into our lives. Thank God for her! She is knowledgeable, compassionate, reliable and all those good things that are needed during this transition. Thank you Treinice for just being a downright good person! We appreciate you more than words can say!

Gentiva Hospice took care of my dad. He was very sick and at the end stage of life. The nurses were so caring and kind. Very professional. They got him all the equipment and medications he needed the same day he was admitted to hospice and came twice during the same night when he got bad. I couldn’t imagine that night without them. In fact, after that experience I went to work as an RN for Gentiva Hospice!
