What Families Are Saying
Most Recent Reviews
HPH nurses, home health aids, social worker and Chaplin were so amazing during a very difficult moment for our family. When hospital doctors said there was nothing else they could do for Dad, he had end stage liver disease and liver cancer, we knew they weren't lying. We consulted with his PCP of many years and we all agreed that hospice was the answer. From the moment we said yes, the support and empathy was there. The young lady who completed the paperwork was so lovely, she even hugged me. We took Dad home and they provided everything from the bed, wheelchair, supplies, meds etc. A social worker came and explained everything about the services they provide, she was also very kind and empathetic. The nurses especially Marlene who had a nice conversation with Dad since she is from the same town as he in Puerto Rico, she was amazing with Dad, she showed us how to take care of him and was very knowledgeable. Tammy the home aid was also an angel, she came on a day that Dad was having what they call a rally, where he got up, ate, talked and was present. On that day he received visitors, his brother and his nice and family, she saw how excited he was to see so she said would come back the next day because she didn't want to take him away from all that joy. She came back the next day she bathed him, shaved him and took such great care of him. The rally lasted 3 days, then he went into the "coma". She came back the day he passed and again treated him with so much respect and cared for him. My Dad passed away shortly after she left. My daughter was there and said Tammy knew he was near the end as she looked sad. Dad died peacefully, and was even honored by a VA vet sent by Chaplin Mike was also so amazing with us. Thank you HPH for the great job you did with my Dad Virgilio Cotto, I will always be thankful for all you did. May God continue to bless all of you wonderful professionals.
I can't say enough on how caring and passionate this HPH hospice is. Both my parents were in the care of Crystals team out of the Brooksville office. Everyone treated my parents and me with the compassion and love we needed in a difficult time. Raquel the RNCC nurse that kept me up to date on all my parents medical condition. And Meredith the social worker that helped me in time of need when I was down and sad. Stephen the chaplain that made visits to my parents and prayed for them and my family. James the home health aide that came and made sure my parents were clean and bathed. I just can't say enough how nice everyone was. They treated me and my parents like family. Always returned my calls even on weekends. Last but not least Max the Nurse that came the night my father passed I appreciate your comfort that evening. Thank you all again so much Curtis Fox
My mother in law was a patient under this company until they fired her for wanting “aggressive treatment” meaning she called 911 when she couldn’t breathe instead of hospice due to the fact that the last time she had an emergency nobody showed up for several hours where she was left laying her own poop due to her ostomy bag breaking and I couldn’t help her because I can’t move her on my own and we were still waiting on more bags to be delivered. Her being hospitalized was over a month ago. The company came to pick up all her medical equipment a few days after, without notifying anybody in the household so nothing was ready and we were still under the impression that she would be home soon and still a patient with HPH so they rescheduled for the following Monday to come pick it all up. We had everything ready to go that day all outside and nobody came, we called the next day and then days turned into weeks and still nobody has come to pick up now that it’s been a whole month since she was dismissed. Obviously we have her with a new company who brought their own equipment but now we’ve had this hospital bed sitting in our living room for a month. We’ve called several times and they insist they’e coming but they never have, I even called the actual equipment company who couldn’t do anything without orders from HPH. I hate writing bad reviews but I hate having to correct my curious toddler every two mins even more, because there’s an entire bed chilling in his play area. Besides all the miscommunication and errors in the administration areas, the nurses and aids, and everyone who answered the phones and came to our house were super nice especially Yvette but it seems like there’s some serious communication errors.
