Vitas was great till my mom was on her last day Was no nurse there as my mom was actively passing i had to call and ask for someone to come out! also my mom had mucas in her throat and I learned they were suppose to suction it was very traumatizing for me and my family! wasn’t a peaceful passing at ALL S
Horrible communication! My mother is a smoker and on oxygen. They just show up one day and say a nurse said she was smoking with the oxygen (hearsay) and take all of her oxygen. Literally leaving her on the floor crying because she can't breathe. My mom even asked for help and there response was we can call 911. Horrible company! No compassion.
My Dad received amazing and compassionate care from VITAS Healthcare for approx 6 months before passing. We felt blessed to have RN Ana and Caregiver Reslaine. They were so caring, professional, and went above and beyond consistently.
