Compassus - Bossier City

I just want to say this was the best hospice experience. Last year my mother in law was put on hospice and the experience was nothing short of great. From when Carla made contact with my sister in law to the day she passed away. The nurses, nurses aides, social worker, and pastor were all great. I want to say thank you all for absolutely everything. I have to give a special THANK YOU to Cierra, I am not sure what her exact roll is but she’s an angel. If we had a question about anything she knew the answer to it all. She took care of me, my husband, and my sister in law while the others took care of my mother in law. She is such a sweet heart, kind, loving, and a very special person. Thank everyone so much!!

About a week ago our lives were changed. My friend received the news that she wasn’t expecting to hear from her husband’s doctor. Upon receiving the news, she was introduced to Compassus. Not really sure what to expect from this company. We placed the call and no regrets about making the right decision choosing Compassus. Carla, met us at the hospital and throughly talked about the importance of selecting the best way to provide comfort for our family member. She was able to ease the family members minds. We asked several questions and each questioned was answered. Carla, scheduled to have the proper equipment delivered to the house. Everything arrive the next day as scheduled. Upon or loved one discharge we was notified the estimate time of Arrival. A nurse (Mallory) arrive the same day to assist with the patient. She was very attentive to needs of the patient and family. She throughly explained each medication to give the patient. The next day Mallory returned and a nurse aid, but at different times. Which was very welcomed because we didn’t feel abandoned. From the nurse, aid, the chaplain, each one displayed a positive attitude. When the final hour approached. We was professionally informed of what was happening, and what time frame to expect left with our loved one. When our loved one transitioned to heaven. The chaplain was present. He stayed with the family to provide comfort for several hours. Then a nurse came out . She did her assessment. She asked if the family mind if she cleaned the deceased before he was released to the funeral home. She gracefully groomed him and cleaned him. To make sure he was clean and presentable. That was so touching. We truly appreciated the way she respected the body of our love one. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have the support of caring , compassionate, and supportive people during this difficult time. Carla followed up with the family to offer her condolences. What a blessing to know that people really care about the family of the deceased. Thank you Compassus for great service and support!!
