I contacted this place prior o transferring from St. Louis. 2 February 2026. My company Vitas Hospice transferred them all the information and they were supposed to have the bed by Feb 14, the day of our arrival. They never called me. I had to reach out. They acted like they could not understand me. I’d call Vitas back. They would call them and call me back and say everything was in order. Saturday no bed no call. Sunday I was told the nurse would be here in the morning to do the intake and admission. No call, no nurse. The next day was almost the same repeat accept Jeff called to get my mother’s Medicaid number. He stated he was ordering the equipment but the nurse still needed to come. Finally on Wednesday afternoon she arrived. It took her an inordinate of time to get out of her vehicle. Then she came in without any forms to do an intake. She didn’t ask about her meds. All she talked about was the possibility of her not qualifying because of the time period she has been on hospice. She stated she would reach out in a few hours to see if my 97 year old mother who had fallen at TSA, wheelchair bound, barely eating, 80 lbs, does not qualify for hospice. I think this company is prejudice and the nurse was incompetent. I am reporting this to the OCR, Medicare and Medicaid CMS, the State Department. and the Internal Hospice Grievance. All The LA Dept of health to discuss the clinical negligence and violations I see as a LPC.

I reached out to this company before coming into town to be sure that my 96 year old grandmother would have sufficient care and needs met before transitioning. I was told that it would be no problem after giving insurance info. Being that it was a late notice I was told my grandmother would have an assessment the following Monday before getting a bed delivered. Monday came and no bed or assessment. The following day I received a call that they would not be able to come until the assessment and soon as the assessment is done they would be able to deliver bed and the nurse will be out the next morning. So now it’s two days out. The next morning I received no call or follow up. I decided to call in the afternoon and finally a nurse was able to come but sat in her car for several minutes I went outside to let my dog out and the nurse finally got out her car to come in home to assess my grandmother and DID NOT DO A FULL ASSESSMENT,,, DIDNT even inquire about medications. My grandmother is bed ridden and uses a wheelchair. After the half done assessment she said it would take 2-3 hours to be cleared to receive services. It is has now been 24 hours with NO communication. They are not people of their word and I will be using another company. The new company was able to do everything in one day! I would not recommend these people at Enhabit Hospice. They are unprofessional and not sensitive to the needs of others.

I was a caregiver for a patient that choose Enhabit. I can honestly say each hospice team member I met was extremely kind, patient, and supportive, of both the patient and the family/caregivers. They were also wonderful with symptom management (from anxiety and pain to UTIs) Enhanit also had members (both spiritual and social workers) that came out not only for the patient but for family members as well. These members were especially appreciated at the end stages. I would recommend Enhabit for anyone looking for hospice care for either theirselves or their loved one. This Team is knowledgeable, personable and extremely caring.
