There are truly no words that can fully express my gratitude for the care, compassion, and support that Interium Hospice gave my mom and our family during one of the most difficult times of our lives. I just happened to find out that my mom’s primary care doctor was also the Medical Director of Interium Hospice. I was talking with her about hospice, and she shared her involvement with Interium. She told me to expect a call from Shannon, and within 10 minutes, Shannon called me. From that moment on, I was at peace. Shannon told me they would take care of everything, and that is exactly what happened. They were there when my mom arrived, and after my mom passed, they came in and made sure everything was taken care of. During a time when I was trying to manage so much emotionally and mentally, they brought a level of comfort and peace that I will never forget. Along the journey, we had fantastic nurses. Brandi and Jessica always kept me informed, and more importantly, they were honest with me as we were coming to the end. They never left without making sure all of my questions were answered. Even after my mom passed, they reached out to check on me, and that meant more than they will ever know. Chaplain Faye was also there for me during this time. She came in on the very first day and prayed with my mom. We were able to talk about my mom’s journey, and Faye was able to be part of my mom accepting Jesus. That moment will stay with me forever. When someone you love is in hospice, you are carrying so much. There are decisions to make, emotions to process, and heartbreak that is hard to put into words. But Interium Hospice walked beside us with compassion, honesty, faith, and care. I will always be grateful for Shannon, Brandi, Jessica, Chaplain Faye, and the entire Interium Hospice team. They did not just care for my mom. They cared for our family, and they gave us peace during a time when we needed it most. Shannon was truly a godsend. From our first meeting she put us at ease. Through every moment she cared for us as if we were family. Her genuine concern, compassion, and skillful guidance through difficult decisions proved essential. She maintained close contact with us daily and ensured nursing, medications, equipment, and other resources were promptly available. The entire Interim team was tremendous and are highly recommended.
