About The Hospice of Baton Rouge

The Hospice of Baton Rouge sends nurses, aides, social workers, and chaplains to the home. The team builds a plan with the patient's own doctor and comes back as needs change. They also offer palliative consults for people who are not yet ready for hospice, including help with symptoms while other treatment continues. The same office has a pediatric hospice program for children with serious illnesses, providing visits that cover medical needs and family support. After a death, bereavement support continues for 14 months, ensuring families receive ongoing care during their time of need.

Other important resources for families

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
