Willis Knighton Hospice of Louisiana

Willis-Knighton Hospice provided outstanding care for my mother. The entire staff is excellent, especially Nurse Christy. My family and I will always be grateful for the excellent care my mother received.

My mother suffers with dementia and other medical conditions. She requires assistance with even basic needs. I learned about this service from Jackie Martin who witnessed my mother’s behavior while waiting to see the doctor a few months ago. She gave me her card and shared briefly about the program. I actually misplaced her card, but my husband remembered her first name. I did a search on Facebook under Willis Knighton Hospice and was able to find her. I sent Jackie a FB message and she responded immediately. Her genuine caring and understanding is what prompted us to make the decision. She assisted us with getting my mother set-up and has followed-up several times to check on us — can’t say enough positive about her. The CNA and Nurse come out bi-weekly— they are caring, friendly, and efficient. Nurse Christy’s interactions with my mother are the sweetest. Just knowing I can reach-out if there’s a medical issue is reassuring, especially with my mother’s lack of mobility and mental health. Although my mother is newer to the program, I wanted to share our positive experience.

My aunt was dx with pancreatic cancer at the end of July. We made the decision a few weeks later to bring her home on hospice care. Willis knighton hospice treated my aunt and my family with the utmost care. Our nurse Angela and few others that came out were so gentle and kind . Mrs Lucy came out to pray and be with her and Christy was with us when she passed The case manager Jackie Martin has continually checked on us through this process. This is the most loving and caring people that definitely have a calling in their lives be hospice caregivers. My family is forever grateful.
