My daughter went in for surgery a year and a half ago. Her doctor, Mark macgotti Did a horrible job of surgery. A year and a half later her wound has still not healed. She was referred to wound care to help Heal this wound. We have been pretty happy with the service of this program and the nurses that have come to service my daughter. We had one this morning named Jennifer, came in with the most horrible attitude, saying she doesn’t need their care anymore because she can walk. Well, she walks in pain and the wound has still not healed. Her attitude and her bedside manner was horrible. I don’t usually say negative things about an employee, because I know how it affects the employee. But, in this case, I was shocked her attitude from the very beginning.

Before I say anything, I want to thank Andrea, the nurse, and Alicia, the speech therapist, for being such caring, professional, and wonderful healthcare providers. I truly appreciate everything they have done for my husband. I understand that my husband has a problem, and I know that this may be the reason he was discharged from your care. My only concern is that no one informed us that he was being discharged. I was waiting for the speech therapist to come to our home, but when she didn’t arrive, I sent her a text message asking if she was still coming. That was when I found out that my husband had already been discharged from your care. I believe the company should have at least notified the family or caregiver about his discharge. No one bothered to contact me or let me know what was happening. If I had not texted the nurse and the speech therapist, I would not have known that my husband had already been discharged. I believe it is the company’s responsibility to properly communicate with the family when a patient is discharged, especially when the family is involved in the patient’s care. Thank you again to Andrea and Alicia. If it were not for them, I would not have known that my husband had been discharged.

My son is a 19 yr old newly paraplegic with no core strength. PT did not work on his core and actually didn't even know how to approach his situation. They kept him in bed and had him do arm and hand exercises with equipment I provided. I think there should have been a young male as his PT so he could've gotten a lot more out of his experience. There was absolutely no communication with our bath aid. I would get a phone call 30 minutes prior to arriving which would normally be around 2 or 3 in the afternoon by then I had already bathed my son, or we wouldn't get a call at all and a no show. We should have got 2 visits from OT a week but because you guys were so short staffed he got 1 visit a week. Our nurse Kelly was amazing that's why I gave a rating of 1. I honestly think Corus is all about making money and not patient care (patient to staff ratio don't add up) . All Your staff was very friendly but friendly didn't do my son justice. I also think corus should stick to just hospice care and not take on patients who need more from a in home health care.
