What Families Are Saying
Most Recent Reviews
The care and comfort compassus gave to my mom was a major blessing, mom stayed comfortable and never had to leave the house. The girls were very informative and compassionate. They knew their job to a tee and did it very well. Thank you girls, you are real angels in my book!
If zero stars were an option, this company would have earned it. Our 10 year old son was placed on hospice care in November 2024 and passed away in January 2025. Entrusting a hospice with a child’s end-of-life care requires extraordinary competence, compassion, and accountability. This company failed on all three. Only a small handful of individuals no more than three demonstrated anything resembling genuine care or professionalism. The rest of the experience was defined by inexperience, disorganization, and a troubling lack of understanding of our son’s complex medical needs. Had my wife and I not been extensively trained and deeply informed about his care, critical gaps would have gone unnoticed. No parent should ever feel more qualified than the hospice team responsible for their child. We were explicitly told that bereavement support would continue for up to 13 months following our son’s death. That promise amounted to nothing. After his passing, communication stopped entirely. The silence was not just disappointing—it was cruel. Hospice care is supposed to provide guidance, expertise, and compassion during the worst moments of a family’s life. This company instead added stress, disappointment, and lasting resentment to an already unbearable experience. If you have a medically complex child and are searching for hospice services, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This organization should not be responsible for the care of vulnerable children or the families who depend on them.
Compassus team was excellent with my Mom in 2023 and my Dad who recently passed last month. His nurse, Lorie and social worker, Amy were so compassionate and my Dad loved them. He would ask when his "doctor" was coming, talking about his nurse. My sister, brother and myself couldn't have asked for better care.

Other important resources for families
Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
