The inpatient rooms are in this same building, not a separate house down the street. Families use them for a short stay when symptoms need nurses on site through the night, then the plan is to return home when that is possible.
What Families Are Saying
Most Recent Reviews
It takes a special person to work at a hospice. I want Stephanie to know how much of an impact she made for my family at time when we needed direction, compassion and dignity for my mom. We were very fortunate to find Stephanie while my mom was in another facility. The entire hospice staff worked tirelessly to treat my mom with respect on her final journey. My mom passed being freshly bathed, groomed and in clean PJs. The level of compassion shown to all of the patients during their time at this hospice will be remembered forever. My mom left on her terms. The nurses and doctors listened to her wishes and tried to make her passage as easy as possible. Thank you.
I highly recommend Hospice of Okeechobee, Hamrick House. I can not say enough good things about them. My mother was there for 5 weeks and passed away recently. The nurses and all the staff are truly gifted in caring for your family member. Every day they cared so lovingly for my mother as if mom was a family member. They really listened and follow through on all of our wishes. They were so caring and patient with not only my mother but with all our family members. If you truly want to be supported at this difficult time, stop in and visit. PS. The photos shown are older, when visited the first time we thought it was a brand-new building, it is immaculately clean and you can tell it is lovingly care for.
Hospice care for terminally I'll patient. People are given the best of treatment at end of life stage.
