I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and to commend the incredible team that provided hospice care for my husband,Warren Lovingood who passed away on March 30. During one of the most difficult journeys of our lives, Vickie with Southern Comfort provided a blanket of comfort, professionalism, and profound humanity that my family will never forget.I want to specifically recognize Vickie the owner, Cindy the social worker, Chaplain Mark and the office manager Sandra for their outstanding care. They managed my husband's medical needs and pain; and treated him with an immense amount of dignity and respect. They brought peace to the room. The team also extended their care to me. As a caregiver, I often felt overwhelmed, but they always took the time to listen, explain what to expect, and reassure me that I was doing a good job. They showed as much compassion to my heart as they did to my husband’s comfort..They did not just provide medical care; they brought peace, warmth, and comfort into our home when we needed it most. Our family will never forget their kindness. When Warren passed away we had to also grieve the people at Southern Hospice also, they were such a warmth and loving presense in our lives.

Southern Comfort Hospice is absolutely phenomenal. They took care of my grandfather and he actually graduated from hospice under Vickie’s care. I’d highly recommend this company to any family that is looking for a hospice company to treat their family like their own.

The love and care of the nurses was exceptional. Mom truly loved the visits. Her transition was handled with the greatest of respect and comfort. The communication was accessible. It truly made her last days better for her and me.

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more. Placements are limited and selective — we review applications and only accept organizations that meet our standards for this section. Listings are paid advertising, not recommendations or endorsements. Families review the information and choose professionals for themselves.
