If you want your loved one to be dosed up on morphine until they are too confused to stay alive, then these are your people! If you actually want nurses and doctors to treat infections, manage a catheter or provide care for your loved one THAT THEY ARE DEMANDING. Then maybe look somewhere else. My mother’s toe turned black with infection and they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. We ended up spending thanksgiving in the hospital. The nurses aides were great, but I wish I would have switched providers sooner!

It’s a very tough time when a family member needs hospice care but based on our experience, you need to AVOID the Hospice of Central Ohio as they can harm your loved one. They claim they provide compassionate comfort care but it is a bogus claim. They were so slow to react and help our loved one. We had to constantly hound them to take action. Their care and responses to our requests were ineffective. Critical days and weeks went by and their inaction led to a significant and rapid decline of our Mother. We dropped them and had to go to the ER to re-stabilize our Mother’s condition and to get the comfort care they were supposed to provide. I advise you to look somewhere else for hospice care and never use this Group.

Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio provided compassionate, professional services for the last 4 months of my mother’s life at Middleton Senior Living. The hospice nurse and nursing staff at Middleton collaborated on the care plan and made adjustments as needed in consultation with the physicians. The chaplain and social worker spent quality time with my mom and our family as we worked through any issues. The outstanding hospice aide visited 2x/week to help with basic needs like bathing and dressing and became mom’s best friend. Based on our experience, I would recommend their services to other families.

Families often have questions beyond hospice care — estate planning, elder law, funeral planning, and more.
