VITAS Healthcare - Dublin

So sorry I did not read reviews before engaging with this healthcare provider. Our experience was absolutely terrible. There is almost nothing I can say positive about them. They claim to improve the quality of life for patients,families and caregivers. Equipment was never provided , as needed, we had to ask for basic supplies. Never had one case manager to contact. I have been involved with other hospice providers that have provided excellent care. This is one of the I would never recommend.

Vitas of Dublin has been unbelievable! About 18 months ago, my mother, age 95, fell and experienced some balance and cognitive issues. I spoke with Julie, an administrator with Vitas and asked if the additional assistance my mother required would fall under their umbrella. She immediately came (with others) to assess my mother’s situation. She was deemed appropriate and care immediately began. Nurse Practitioner, case worker, nurse and aide (for shower assistance) quickly began care and have continued through today. My mother just turned 96 and we believe she is stronger and sharper than she was a year ago - much to the help of the Vitas team. She loves everyone who is involved and they really appear to feel the same way about her. She has always been strong in her faith and an agency minister comes weekly to pray with her. This is also very uplifting and she so looks forward to his visits. We cannot say enough positive about this company and their care - it has certainly made the care of my mother more manageable and we believe her life and quality of life has been extended.

I was very surprised to see reviews that were not 5 star. Our family could not have had a better experience, considering how difficult the passing of a loved one is. First let me start with Tracy. From the minute I spoke with her, she made our family feel as though we were her priority and provided everything we needed quickly and seamlessly. She was wonderful from being to end. Next let me say Maya was excellent, professional, was very supportive and responsive. She always made sure my husband had everything he needed, as well as caring about the family needs. Fatima is an excellent, professional nurse and the most compassionate human being. She was so attentive to everyone in our family. She took outstanding care of my husband. She was so understanding with our children as well as all the other friends and family members, even the pets. I could not have asked for a better nurse. Dr. Greenstein was wonderful. She came to see my husband multiple times, adjusted his care to meet his individual needs and took her time to answer questions. She really cares about her patients, their care and their comfort and it shows. We had many other nurses and care givers as well, who all came into our home, respectfully, with kindness, and compassion. Everyone from Vitas helped our family through this difficult time and gave my husband the peace and tranquility he deserved after his long illness. My family and I will be forever grateful to the Vitas team. With much appreciation, the Holly Family
