For the past 7 months, our lives have been deeply touched by illness and uncertainty, but in the middle of it all, we were blessed with a true angel from VITAS, Team 152 — Yovanny Del Villar. From the very beginning, Yovanny has been more than a caregiver to us. With his gentle heart, endless compassion, and remarkable professionalism, he has brought comfort and light into our home during one of the most difficult times of our lives. We lovingly call him our “Italian nurse,” a small nickname that carries so much affection and gratitude. His positive energy, warm smile, and uplifting spirit make every visit feel a little lighter, a little brighter. He cares not only with skill and experience, but with genuine love. That kind of kindness cannot be taught — it comes from the heart. We are forever grateful for everything he has done for us. Thank you, Yovanny, for your patience, your strength, your beautiful energy, and your unwavering support. Please never change — the world needs more hearts like yours. You will always have a special place in our hearts. 🤍

I would like to express my concern regarding this situation. It is very uncomfortable for families of patients when staff repeatedly come and expect financial help or tips from them. I kindly ask VITAS to ensure that employees are fairly compensated so that families are not put in this difficult position. Thank you for understanding and addressing this concern.

I'm so happy with the Vitas service and team 158 is great. Theresa , Ruth, Anita, Idalia, Ann Marie and Dina are lovely and caring ladies who always do a good job. Dr. Silvia is extremely amazing, she always goes above and beyond. All of them were taking care of my husband for almost 3 years.
