Amedisys Hospice - Lawrenceville

My name is Cheryl Taylor I am writing on behalf of my sister Sheila Hopkins who is receiving Hospice care. Bob the Manager of Hospice Care in Lawrenceville Georgia is also a patient Advocate. Bob reached out to me and my family on July 13, 2026. He explained to my sister and I what type of services his agency offered. My sister and I was on our way home after hearing the heart-breaking news of our other sister, very calming voice. By Wednesday Bob and his team had my sister set-up with Hospice care. This was very important to us because my younger sister and I live in North Carolina and my twin sister lives in Snellville Georgia. This team was on it! We had to make some curial decision right away and Bob and his team got the job done. We did have some issues along the way but he helped smooth them out . The care that this Agency had for my sister without even meeting myself and my sister is great. I would recommend to anyone that needs hospice care. The hospice bed arrived Wednesday , a Nurse came in Sheila's home after she arrived, called me a let me know how things were going. I returning to Georgia and can't wait to meet this team!

We had an incredible experience with Amedysis, entirely thanks to Bob D. During one of the most difficult times for our family, Bob was an absolute angel. Bob supported our whole family, making sure we understood the process and felt comforted every step of the way. Bob made sure our loved one had everything he needed as he transitioned to home hospice care. He went out of his way to provide emotional support for our family. We are forever grateful.

I can’t thank the Amedisys team enough for everything they’ve done for my mom and our family during her battle with cancer. Bob was amazing. He got us through the entire hospice process in just a few hours. He was organized, responsive, and truly cared. In a time when we felt overwhelmed, he made everything so much easier. Linda has been a wonderful social worker, always checking in and making sure we have the support we need. Tania, my mom’s nurse, has been nothing short of incredible. She treats my mom with so much kindness, patience, and respect, and we always know she’s in good hands. Thank you all for caring for my mom the way you do.
